⚠ Allergen information disclaimer
Dietary and allergen information on Picky comes from restaurant declarations, community reports, menus published online, and AI estimates. All of these can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. It is not medical advice and must not be relied on if you have a food allergy or intolerance. Always confirm allergen information directly with restaurant staff before ordering or eating. Community reports and AI signals are a starting point, not a guarantee — you remain responsible for your own dietary decisions. Picky accepts no liability for harm arising from reliance on information shown in the app.
The service
Picky helps people with dietary requirements discover restaurants and share dining experiences. We provide the platform; restaurants are responsible for their food, menus, and allergen declarations.
Who can use Picky
You must be 16 or older to use Picky. By creating an account you confirm that you are, and that the information you give us is accurate.
Your content and conduct
You own what you post and grant Picky a licence to display it within the service. Because people rely on Picky to stay safe, we have zero tolerance for harmful content and behaviour. You must not post content that is:
- knowingly false or misleading, including false or reckless allergen and dietary claims;
- abusive, harassing, hateful, threatening, or otherwise objectionable;
- unlawful, or that infringes anyone else’s rights.
You can report content and other people from within the app. We review reports and remove content that breaks these rules, and we may suspend or terminate accounts that do — especially where safety is at risk.
Community menu data
Some menu listings are sourced from community reports or from menus restaurants publish online, and are labelled as unverified. They are provided for discovery only.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app or from your account page on the web; doing so removes your profile, posts, and dietary data as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms or put others at risk. We’ll act reasonably, and where we can we’ll tell you why.
Liability
Picky is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect loss and limit our total liability to the amount you paid us (currently nothing). Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
